• How much experience do they have? Ask about numbers, not time, because it is common for this to be a part-time interest.
• How experienced are they with your age group and skin type?

And here are some key questions to ask to ensure your artist is a professional and that you are protected, should anything not go as expected:

• Do you have a business license?
• Do you carry malpractice insurance?
• Do you undergo, and pass, yearly health inspections?
